Principal's Message - August 10, 2007
New Registration Procedures - Welcome back to another great year at Kennedy Elementary. This is the first year we will be using the online registration procedures.
If you are new to the Kennedy Elementary attendance area, please contact the school (359-3325 or 3326) to obtain an online account for registration. Former students should have already received a letter with the above information. If not, please contact the school. If you do not have a home computer you may come to the school. Assistance will be available in the computer lab. This pre-registration will greatly reduce the long lines of the past and make the process much more enjoyable and convenient.
We are not set up to take money or fees over the internet. That is why you will be required to come to the school after registering online. In addition, you will be able to find out which class your child has been assigned.
Those with last names beginning with A to L should come to the school on August 15, for the second part of registration. Students with last names beginning with M to Z should come the following day, August 16. Registration hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you have scheduling problems, please contact the school to arrange any exceptions.
To register online:
1. Contact the school and open a student account
2. Under Quick Links (bottom left corner) double click Registration.
3. Select Elementary Schools and enter the following:
• Your student's Confidential ID (Usually a five digit ID)
• Your student's Passwword (Randomly generated letters)
Please remember to attend either of the two registration days as the second part of registration to find out who your child's teacher is and pay fees. In addition you will have the opportunity to sign up for PTO and parent helpers/volunteers.
We are required to have a copy of the students' completed Immunization Record and Certified Birth Certificate on file. Hospital and church records are not acceptable for public schools. If the school does not already have a copy of your child's birth certificate, please bring it on the assigned registration day. We will make copies for our files.
Fees: We assess a $20.00 fee for student supplies and activities as well as a $12.00 snack fee for each Kindergarten student. Parents do not need to purchase any school supplies. We recommend students have a regular-sized back pack to transport school materials.
We look forward to seeing you and getting to know each of you. If you have any questions, please contact the school Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Sincerely,
Scott Shirley, Principal
