Students may bring personal radio or stereo equipment to school only when allowed by teachers. Beepers and cellular phones must be silenced or turned off. If any of the above equipment is found on school property without permission, if music is inappropriate, or if beepers and cellular phones are not silenced, it will be confiscated and may be returned at the end of the block.
Pop, candy, and other food is only allowed at the discretion of the teacher and is to be considered a privilege that may be lost for not following the classroom rules.
Students not enrolled in Madison Academy are not allowed on campus.
Possession or use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, lighters, pornography, and other unacceptable material is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with appropriately by Madison School District #321 and by law enforcement officials.
Students will not wear inappropriate or immodest dress, such as halter tops, tank tops, bare midriffs, pajamas, pants worn below the hips, or shorts and skirts more than 6 inches above the knee. Shoes must be worn at all times. No slippers or clothing displaying pictures of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sex, “Big Johnson” or “skin” shirts, gang related clothing or paraphernalia.
Any jewelry or clothing with drug, alcohol, and/or tobacco emblems will become property of Madison Academy.
No fighting, vandalism, theft, harassment, or profanity. Failure to abide by each of these rules will be dealt with appropriately by Madison School District #321 and by law enforcement officials.
No disruptive behavior or disrespectful behavior.
Students will respect all rules that the teachers establish for classroom behavior.
Madison School District #321 or Madison Academy are not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen personal items. Please bring personal items with the assumption that it may be lost, broken, or stolen.
Students may be required to make up time during break, lunch, or after school. (Partial break and lunch will always be given in these situations because we feel that this is an important time for students. Also, students will be responsible for securing their own ride when time is to be made up before or after school.
Students will not enter onto Central High School property.
